Mufti Muntasir Zaman is a scholar activist and a prolific writer. Born in New York where he completed the memorization of the Qur’an at an early age. He studied the preliminary years of the Alimiyyah program at Ma‘had al-Rashīd in Ontario, Canada. He then travelled to South Africa where he enrolled in Madrasah ‘Arabiyyah Islāmiyyah. In 2013, he graduated from the Alimiyyah program and received authorization in the ten modes of Qur’ānic recitation. Thereafter, he completed the Iftaa program, followed by a year specializing in the field of Hadīth. In 2017, he received an M.A in Islamic Studies from the Markfield Institute of Higher Education in Leicester, England.

Currently, he is a full-time Qalam instructor in the Alimiyyah program teaching students advanced Hadith studies. He also writes articles, book reviews, and translations of classical Islamic literature on his website ahadithnotes.com.
